Are You On The Right Path?

Imagine the scene: You’re extremely distressed, and your life (literally) is in danger as you’ve reached the top of your potential and can’t think anymore while in surviving mode. It feels like whatever the road you choose, all of them come with consequences and no matter how hard you try to select what’s best, all solutions are uncomfortable to take. You’ve hit a crossroads and no answer will satisfy you entirely.

This situation has happened to me multiple times, and like myself, it happens to people who worked for years behind a desk, taking care of their kids, coming out of a relationship or healing sickness, trauma and grief.
In a sense, this is a part of being a human, but this answer wasn’t what I was looking for when I stepped into the temple trying to hide from those pursuing me with ill intentions. My mind kept rushing; what do I need to do? What’s the solution? Which one is the best option for me?

At the time, my brain was in “fight or flee” mode, and I needed any person to tell me, here is the solution, even if I knew the pain it would inflict on me taking that road. Blinded by adrenaline and fear, I approached a monk sitting behind a cristal table as he was grabbing some incense for a woman hoping to donate money and light…
